How borrowing works
1. Join & reserve
Browse the Things online and make a reservation to borrow.
2. Borrow and return it
Collect your Thing. Use it. Then return it when you're done.
3. Track your impact
See how much waste you've saved from landfill by borrowing instead of buying.
The library is a 4 minute walk from Finsbury Park Underground Station (Victoria and Piccadilly Lines).
Car Parking
There's a 20 minute loading bay directly outside the shop you can use at your own risk. The Bright Sparks team recommend putting on your hazards and boot up whilst you come into collect.
The story so far
Library of Things is a social enterprise that helps people save money and reduce waste. We started as a grassroots community movement in South London.
Now local residents, Islington Council and Bright Spark have partnered to bring Library of Things to Finsbury Park!
Three reasons why borrowing's better than buying
1. It's more convenient
It’s more affordable. Cuts down on clutter. And we’re just down the road. (Beats next day delivery right?!)
2. It's more rewarding
Meet your neighbours, get involved in your community, or even learn a new skill that could change your outlook
on life.
3. It's kinder to the planet
Sharing the Things you won't use often is a simple action all of us can take to live more sustainably.
